Challenge
We had to came up with a functional MVP App in 6 months to test in La Paz, Mexico so that it could run the beta phase to validate the business model and win the investments to advance to a next phase and open in more cities and countries. Bringing up all information and coordinating the teams which were based in different countries was a challenge successfully overcome with the awesome collaboration and team sprint of all those involved.
Process
We started with a deep research phase in collaboration with Asdeporte (a sports event’s company operating in America) and La Paz local agencies to interview thousands of people who had some kind of sports habits. The objective was to understand their behavior, expectations, and desires regarding sports travels.
A very competent squad was responsible for organizing and programming the database integration such as confirmed sports events, private sports class, available locals, tickets shopping platform, hotels bookings, and more.
The product design squad worked in different app flow for the App during the wireframe phase and tested with users to get insight and learn the best way of making them through the flow. The main goal was to sell travel packages combining sports events, and also to present and incentivize local and sustainable local tourism.
Information architecture
Through this phase, we visualized information architecture and content type. Also we carried out the implementation prioritization. In the end, the client decided to prioritize the app so that the product would be mobile first.
